Division and Classification Essay Due Dates:
The assignment can be found at http://hatlerenglish.ning.com/ . You are to go to the 12 CP-A Division and Classification Blog in order to read the assignment. You will print out a rough draft from a Word document. This rough draft is due on Friday, February 19. You will have time to revise the rough draft and cut and paste it into the blog (in the comment section under the directions). Do not cut and paste it or post this essay to the ning until it is finalized. Review the ning copy for anything that may have been changed due to the cut & paste process. The final copy will be posted by 11:59PM on Thursday, February 25. You will not need to print out the final copy. I will grade it from the ning.
Anthem Assignments:
Anthem is to be read by Tuesday, February 23. It is only 87 pages long and is a very quick read.
Utopian Society Project:
We will begin this on Friday, February 26.

Division and Classification
This week we will be discussing the Division and Classification mode of writing. Throughout the week you will be reading example essays and asked to write your own division and classification essays. Due dates will be discussed in class each day. In the end, you will be taking one of your sample essays and work on editing and revising it as a final paper.
