Assignments for the Week of December 3rd

Due Friday, December 7th -- 50 Point Essay Assignment

Develop and revise one of the essays listed below for your 50 point writing assignment. You will attach your original essay with your revised copy.

• Memoir
• College Scholarship Essay
• Color Essay (from The Catcher in the Rye)
• Object Essay (from The Catcher in the Rye)

This will be your last assignment for the Narration and Description Unit. We will start The Process Analysis Unit at the end of the week.

Make sure you thank Ms. Paulson for all of her hard work the last couple of months. Her last day of teaching the 12th grade classes will be Thursday, December 6th. I know she will be very sad to leave such a wonderful group of students.

Hello Seniors! This next couple of weeks you will be writing a memoir. Please listen to Ms. Paulson carefully. She will be instructing you on the process of creating this piece of writing. Due dates for the assignment are listed below. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! I look forward to being back in the classroom in a couple of weeks!

Due Monday, November 26th -- Memoir Collage
Due Tuesday, November 27th -- Memoir Outline/Interview of a person involved in the memory
Due Thursday, November 29th -- Completed Memoir (attach collage, outline, and interview)

Week of November 12th

Due Tuesday, November 13th -- Typed Scholarship Essay (Worth 20 Points)
